Description Empowered Communities is a national reform initiative created by Aboriginal people, for Aboriginal people. In central Australia's Ngaanyatjarra, Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara (NPY) Lands a collaboration of strong Aboriginal organisations are working together with families, communities, service providers and Government to ensure a coordinated approach to addressing locally identified needs and priorities. This ground-up approach ensures that Aboriginal people have the authority and responsibility for leading the decision-making about the programs and services delivered in their communities.
